This Ain't Hockey, But It Is Gut Check Time

This isn't a "look down and see how big your gut is" gut check.

This is a "taking chances is fun and creative, which is the exact reason you got into radio in the first place" gut check.

I mean, seriously. When was the last time you took a risk?

We can go every day and never take a risk. You know what happens then? Complacency. You do the same things over and over. No change. No new bumps in the road.

But remember when you first wanted to get into radio? You did because it was fun. Or maybe you did it because you idolized your favorite radio DJ as a kid and wanted to be just like them. Or maybe you were just so into the music, you wanted to be closer to it.

Do you remember that? Really, I mean it, do you?

Find that fun again. Take chances. Make a mistake. And remember that when you take the biggest risks, you might gain the biggest rewards.
