Let's See Those Smiling Faces!

I saw a message on the ol' PD Forum this week from Jeff Cruz down at Z88.3 in Orlando (congrats on those latest PPM numbers by the way, guys!).

He offered some examples on how both artists and Z staff are getting involved with the station's fundraising. The station takes video of staff and artists giving updates on fundraising or asking for support and then posts the video on the station's YouTube channel and on personalities' Facebook pages.

Are you doing that?

What an easy way to give your listeners one more connection to your on-air folks. And it gives some entertainment value when your PD samples the cheesesteak sandwich (www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzU06bg4j_8) or an artist offers to donate everything he's worth to your cause (www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0Qn9Dye5BQ). And it gives fodder for your social media outlets. Sounds like an easy win-win-win situation to me.

You're always crying about money issues; this won't break the bank. So, get out those cameras, powder some noses and collect that footage!
