My Final CMB Update

I can say that every one of my predictions for Momentum 2010 came true with the exception of a Disney character making an appearance at a label showcase. Dang it. Oh, well, maybe next year.

Still, I think the biggest problem with CMB is the lack of change in guest speakers. Yes, Lisa Johnson, Al Andrews and Joel Denver (no, he didn't pay me to write his name in here) were great changes of pace, but we can do even better, can't we?

And beyond that, radio can do better.

Just think, we wouldn't have this conference if radio was great.

And real.

Am I right?

So can we just get over stroking each other's egos and get down to the nitty gritty? Talk about life: how it sucks, how it's awesome, how God provided in time of need, how God didn't answer a prayer the way you wanted. Drop the charades and shenanigans. Let's be an extension of the church. Helping those in need. If your product is good enough, people will come.

My motto change from CMB: "Quit sucking at radio."
