It's March Madness. Teams from universities across the country have our attention. And they all want the same thing: To be playing at their most superior level of basketball for a chance to crowned the best of NCAA basketball.
Makes me wish there was a tournament for radio stations.
Then we'd all be striving, practicing or not sleeping until we felt like we had perfected the craft.
Oops. Wait. There is a tournament. Uh, I believe they call it "ratings."
Have you heard this? Or have you said this? "Our ratings have been terrible for years. We can never seem to climb out of the hole."
Know what I think when I hear that? Then you must not be creating valuable content!
Basically, your content sucks.
And how do you fix it? By practicing. By getting better players. By spending TIME and RESOURCES (i.e. $$$) on finding out why your station gets pummeled every book and how you can make it better.
Until you strive to be better, you'll stay in the same rut. Move. Don't stand still. Make a difference today.
