Good, Bad or Just a Waste of Time?

I've been a member of the PD Forum for a while. I've had varying emotions on it: good, bad or just a waste of time.

Good: Recently, Play MPE was brought up and how labels are using it to send out their latest and greatest hits. The frustration expressed here was great discussion on how labels first show their music to the world. I'm sure labels will now think twice before they hit the send button on all of their tunes.

Bad: Sometimes, well, all the time, I get annoyed at the ones who take jokes too far, reminisce about where they used to work and share FTP information to download a song. Most of this never applies to me. Thanks for sharing, but do it off forum. Seriously. I mean it.

Just a waste of time: The people who accidentally hit send to the PD Forum without thinking about it. Hello! You're about to send one email to 300-plus people. Take a second, look at the address it's going to and be sure it's not the PD Forum. I know a building that had a problem of people dialing 9-1-1 because they wouldn't slow done just to type a freakin' phone number.

At the end of the day, this column is about me ranting. You can decide how you feel about it.

Me? I think I fall into the category of thinking it's a "Goadtime."
