Look at all the bells and whistles. And, OH, the colors!

Looks like things just got an upgrade around here at AllAccess.com! (Insert that dumb Beyonce commercial for DirecTV where she sings, "Let me upgrade ya.") The colors are new, the interface is new, but it's the same great service you've come to know and love, including ME!
You might be asking, "So what if All Access got an upgrade? Why should I care?" Maybe you don't have to care but it should at least get you thinking about your own website.
Websites have become more and more important the more digital age takes over.
Take a step back and look at it from your listener's perspective. Is your website cool? Does it scream, "HEY, WE'RE OVERLY RELIGIOUS! CHECK OUT OUR PRECIOUS MOMENTS BANNER AND OUR SWEET CROSS THAT HAS A MOVING SUNRISE AND SUNSET BEHIND IT! ISN'T IT THE COOLEST?!?!?!?!?!?"
No, it's not. And people feel exactly like you're screaming at them about how religious you are. You don't have to do that. Just have a good website. Add a prayer request section and a place to learn about why you do radio.
But please, please, PLEASE, don't use these cool graphics your friend sent you over a MySpace comment! They look cheesy. People today are smart and graphics driven. If your site looks like crap, then it probably is.
Step up your "A" game and put some cash into your online presence. Besides, if you can control how consumers view your product, don't you want to look your best? (And please, no jokes about having faces for radio. I've heard it before.)
