You, Twit!

Someone sent me the link to the Dave Ramsey "rant" to a listener email in a recent "Daily Money Makeover" regarding working six part-time jobs and income tax paid.

Wow.

He was really condescending to said listener: poor Christina in New York.

I think he was trying to be helpful. He offered advice on exemptions and withholding. I learned something new.

But his attitude and choice of words: "I know more about income taxes in my little finger then you will if you study them the rest of your life, you twit."

Not exactly what some programmers want to convey on their "family friendly" stations. Especially to a female listener who is their target audience.

A few questions: Was this a case of poor editing and producing? Did Dave approve this? Do mainstream, non-Christian stations want to air this kind of commentary? Should you really be calling people "twits" and "bums" anyway? Is that really a kind thing to do? Is this some kind of joke?
