The women and men of Christian radio exude this kind of greater purpose in their work every day. During this season of Thanksgiving, and on behalf of your listeners, thank you. Thank you for choosing to bring joy and hope to the airwaves during a challenging year.

Thank you to:

• Every receptionist and office manager who maintains a positive attitude and continues to encourage the team—even after taking a call from a listener in a bad mood;
• Every finance person who says “it’s not in the budget,” out of love, ensuring we all get paid;
• And every morning show person who has to go to bed before their kids do.

Your impact goes beyond the music you play. You display God’s love by ministering to people of all ages. You show up every day for your communities. Here’s a small sampling of some of the incredible work happening in Christian radio:

WCQR/JOHNSON CITY: Their Speak Life program inspires listeners to pass on encouragement to first responders, teachers, and healthcare workers by collecting letters of appreciation for these hometown heroes.

KSBJ/HOUSTON: Joined forces with another local nonprofit, BEAR (Be A Resource), to make sure that over 10,000 kids in Child Protective Services get a present under the tree this year!

WBGL/CHAMPAIGN: Inspiring gratitude among their listeners, WBGL invites listeners to share what they are thankful for and, in exchange, Kauffman Amish Furniture Outlet makes a dollar donation to Feeding Our Kids.

WGTS/WASHINGTON D.C.: In partnership with Walmart and the Salvation Army’s Angel for OPERATION, listeners can participate in WGTS’s “Fill the Stocking” initiative to provide clothing and toys for children in need throughout the D.C. region.

FAMILY LIFE RADIO/NETWORK: FLR is hosting a Toy Drive in partnership with over 12 local ministry partners in communities around the country to provide Christmas gifts for thousands of children in need.

God has given each of us purpose, and it’s not about ratings, revenue, or even Station of The Year accolades. It’s about loving Him and sharing His love with others. Let us not grow weary in doing good. It’s worth it, friends.
