CCM Coaching Tip #16: Permission to Fail

Most Christian stations underperform not because they don't TRY anything. That's not really the source of what doesn't work. It's because they don't have Permission to FAIL.

YOUR job as a Program Director is to give your people permission to try things, and - most importantly - permission to FAIL. Without the permission to fail, no one will ever try anything, because they'll be afraid of the repercussions. So you'll have a "safe", unchallenging station that never gets REMEMBERED for anything.

Your job as an Air Talent is to "run with scissors".
