And The Beat Goes On

There's been an amazing game of Musical Chairs going on recently in the radio realm.
Station to station, state to state, and in some cases continent to continent.
But one thing that has remained consistent is that the beat goes on.

A superstar leaves one ministry, headed to another.
How will they ever replace him or her?
Yet, the beat goes on.

A long-time friend, station employee & industry veteran is suddenly removed from their position.
How will that station ever recover from the tragedy that unfolds.
Still, the beat goes on.

No one is bigger than the position they hold or the ministry for whom they work.
No matter how valuable, vital or irreplaceable that person may seem today....
If they leave tomorrow, the beat will go on.

That's the thing about vision casting and discipleship.
If those two things are present in an organization, there is almost always someone ready to pick up the slack.
And the beat goes on.

Strong. Steady. Surefooted.
Spend the time to answer that extra question today.
Explain the "why". Describe the "how". Prop-up the "who".

Cuz who knows?
Change may be coming in your neighborhood.
And the person you disciple today may be the Beat Master of tomorrow.

One of the highest compliments we can receive is that we've trained our replacement.
We have worked ourselves out of our current responsibility.
And have facilitated the promotion to our next challenge.

The beat goes on.
With, or without us.
Choose to be a part of the rhythm.
