Stop With The Clichés

I want to stab my eye with a No. 2 pencil every time I hear someone in a business setting used tired, exhausted and pointless clichés.

"This will take it to the next level!"

"Let's spend some time thinking outside the box!"

"We have to push the envelope!"

Please stop it. Please.

They don't mean anything anymore. People laugh at you on the inside when you use phrases like that.

I think they're actually de-motivating.

The people you work with don't need business keywords to help inspire them. They need leadership by example. And they need it now.
