Four Out of Five Persons in Your Music Survey Recommend That You Flip to News/Talk Soon, and Other Simple Observations
- Females don't test well at Christian radio with the exception of Nichole Nordeman, Natalie Grant and Nicole C. Mullen's "Redeemer." Females with the letter "N" in their names seem to do well in my research.
- Chris Tomlin owns you. Please make checks payable to.
- We have fewer No. 1 songs at the format during a year than at any other time in the history of the record and radio business. So much so that Billboard will have trouble filling up a 30-minute disc when it compiles its next NUMBER ONES compilation. Oh, that's right; you can just offer it as a download.
- Does your sharathon really need to take place in October?
- It is evident that we are reaching larger amount of a smaller group of people.
- Please no more tribute CDs!
- No one in my female audience wants to hear a whiny female preach in her music. They are often intimidated by them and are in competition with them.
- If a song pre-tests in Texas and doesn't get played there, does it make a sound?
- Stations don't play some current or new records because an artist hasn't tested well in the past. If a station that doesn't play an artist anymore because that artist doesn't test, how do you know the next song you play from that artist won't test?
- Christian music accounts for less than 5 percent of legal digital downloads sold. This means 95 percent of Christian music is still bought on CD. What business are you in, labels?
Let me have it.
