Be Afraid...Be Very Afraid

You should be a tad concerned.
One word: Spotify.
It's the latest company to enter in the round of digital music suppliers. However, Spotify is different.
The brief overview is that it is a music subscription service that you can access on all of your computer & mobile devices that have a data plan or WiFi. Their smoking gun? It gives you access to all music. Millions of songs within your grasp.
And every major US label has signed a deal with them to get their money. You see, Spotify has been in Europe for a while now. A few U.S. music gatekeepers have access, but not until now has it been available for U.S. consumers.
What's the big deal, you ask? The rate is $10/month. So, for the cost of one album on iTunes, I can get all the music that I want to listen to on my iPhone or Droid within a few types of a virtual keyboard.
How does it affect radio? This is the iPod to end all iPods. This is the satellite radio station to end all satellite radio stations. Commercial free music anywhere I go and I can listen to whatever I want, whenever I want.
Cue the "Imperial Death March" music!
How do you beat Spotify? I'm not sure. But pray that early adopters don't speak too loud so that you'll have time to get a game plan together.
