Equality

Yep. Things are evening out.

OK, not in politics or in men vs. women's salaries. But in music, yes, things becoming equal.

Today, more than ever, we push aside biased decisions about past artist history and move forward with picking the best song at the current time.

This is how it should be.

Everyone is on a more equal playing field. Keeping up with the Joneses isn't as big of a deal as it used to be. Doesn't matter what label you're signed to, or if you're even signed to a label! Artists can get airplay, no matter their situation.

BUT even with all the progress that's been made, there's still a way to go. Time for us to get off the high horse and try something new. Expand playlists. Expand artist libraries. Branch out. Take a chance.

What is the worst thing that people could do? Stop listening? There is always the chance of that happening. They do it already, don't they? So, take a chance; win them over or win them back.

And let's see more equality and more great music!
