3 Steps To Building A Powerful Social Media Presence

Let’s see if I can get you started with 3 tips from Meta, and 3 tips from me.
Meta recently shared tips for building an effective community:
- Give members a captivating reason to want to join your community.
- Make it worth their time to interact with you.
- Make it simple and valuable for others to help your community grow.
Sounds easy – but we know it’s not. Social media growth can feel overwhelming and elusive.
But when you begin to learn the art & science of the social space, it gets a bit easier, and a lot more fun.
Here’s how to start.
1. Structure
You have to know where to aim your attention. Working off a cadence (a content creation & posting schedule) and content pillars will keep you focused and balanced. It’s a fact that when we write thoughts and goals down – in this case, when and what we’re going to post, there’s less stress.
Writing down what you think you’re going to create for the week will help you visualize success.
2. Study
Take the guessing game out of what the community members want. The audience gives us clues every day about when content was valued, and when it was not. Bring the audience signals into your content creation process to gain an actionable understanding of what precisely matters to them.
3. Steady
Dedication, consistency, and thoughtfulness are required. Creating a sense of belonging takes commitment and it’s not always easy so, when you get stumped, think back & be inspired by brands that helped you feel a part of something.
It’s about showing up – being real & relatable.
